Sorry to take all the focus off of you Inuyasha, but this is a cosplay thread. I'll be going to Ikasucon this July, as stated in another thread by Hime Riyu, and yes, I will be cosplaying for the first time. I'll be going as Big Boss, the greatest soldier who ever lived, from the video game Metal Gear Solid 3, in his military uniform. I should be pretty easy to spot, and more than likely I'll be with Riyu, so there will be little difficulty in locating me. I hope that everyone likes it, and that it looks good. Maybe I'll even get a picture with someone or sign an autograph. [end message]

Yup. I just fashioned a medal ribbon rack today using some actual medal ribbons, cardboard, and super glue (which is really annoying when you get it all over your fingertips! Oh, well, it'll all be worth it when I look sharp in one month). All I have left to do is get some combat-style boots (easy) and it'll be officially complete. I can't wait to see what people think, although Riyu's already told me that I'd look really good in it (even though she has yet to see it), so I guess I'll take her word. [end message]

Thanks, Riyu. I tried it on today with the new ribbon rack, and it looks better than it did when the ribbons were put on individually. See what a little time and effort can produce (besides a half-hour of fingertip super glue removal)? I'm also looking for either a green or black beret to go with the uniform, but that's optional. I can't wait to show it to you, and all the other con-goers. [end message]

Indeed it will be awesome. I can't wait. Just 25 more days, and we'll be there. About the beret, it's okay. I don't need to borrow one from the uniform room; it needs to be green, not black, and if I can't find one, then I just won't wear one. It's as simple as that. Thanks, anyway. [end message]

Besides, you know how much I hate to mess up my hair. Although, if I were to get a hair cut before I went, then I wouldn't have to worry about it. All I'd have to do is find one, and I think I might be able to from a surplus store. If not, don't worry, I'll still look spiffy for you in my uniform. The only thing I still need to get for it is the boots, and I should be able to get some with the money that I didn't spend while at the concert (which was so forking awesome!). [end message]

Oh i can't wait until we get to go! the car ride is going to suck though, i know i'll be tired. Yeah, the idea was just a suggestion, it really doesn't matter. As long as your happy with it, it's perfect. ^^I'm so ready to be there, spend some time, and just get away from everything here for a while.

I can't wait until we go, either! It's going to be the best! I don't think the car ride'll suck that much; I've been on plenty of two-hour car rides going down to the U.S. Air Force Museum in Dayton. The only real problems that will be faced will be the heat, which can be solved by the AC, and the cramped quarters, which we're already used to. So, we don't have much to loathe. Besides, we'll be either too tired or too excited--or more likely a combination of both--to care. Just two short hours, and we'll be there. First thing I'm doing is taking a nap; I'll be in no condition to do anything after staying up all through the lock-in, and then riding in a car for two hours. I don't know if you or anyone else would, also, but I know I am. Then I'll don my uniform and we'll have all sorts of fun. I really don't know if I'll have a beret. The way it's looking now, I'm thinking no. It's sort of an optional thing, something that I'll include only if I can find while I'm out somewhere. Again, thanks for the suggestion, though. Think about it--in just over three weeks, I'll be Big Boss, the greatest soldier who ever lived. The only thing that'll be different from me and him will be that I'm not wearing an eye patch, but that's because I wear glasses and my left eye is the worst of the two, and if you notice, the only good eye he has is his left. That wouldn't work too well for me. Still, it'll be great. Just like you said, I'm so ready to be there, spend some time, and just get away from everything for a while, which I'm certain we'll be able to do. [end message]

I'm so excited for you costume. I know that i'll probably be up for a nap after the lock in, which if i don't sleep on the way down there then i won't mind it once we get there. But maybe we should get our badges first so we don't have to worry about it after we get up. I know for one thing that the line is going to be nuts. We stood in it for around two to three hours last year, and we were early. It's going to be so much fun. I can't wait.

Yeah, I think it should turn out pretty well. A nap sure sounds nice after staying awake through the lock-in and the car ride, since I can't fall asleep in cars unless I recline. I think it's a good idea to get our badges first, that way we won't have to worry about it at all later. [end message]

I just got a paper the other day that said the registration people got my form, and that the parental sheet will be in the mail shortly. I'm gonna start looking every day now. Only 11 more days! I can't wait! As for the letter to your brother, I'll try to get something if I find the time. [end message]

Hey, you know what? I may just be getting that beret after all. I talked to my dad and he's agreed to take me to a surplus store that has them sometime before we leave. Looks my uniform will be fully complete. Sweet, eh? [end message]
